High potential and gifted education
At Belltrees Public School, we proudly align our teaching and learning approach with the NSW Department of Education’s High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) policy, which recognises and supports the diverse abilities of all learners. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where every student is challenged, inspired, and supported to reach their full potential.
Our program specifically addresses strengths across the following four domains;
- Creative: natural abilities in imagination, invention and originality
- Intellectual: abilities in processing, understanding, reasoning, and the transfer of learning.
- Physical: capability in muscular movement and motor control.
- Social-emotional: skills in self-management, relating to and interacting with others.
Why choose us for your high potential or gifted child?
Multi Age Classes
This allows students greater time and flexibility in learning certain skills; or the ability to progress if it's something they have already mastered.
Industry Connections
We connect our students to industry experts and provide positive role models in areas of interest to them.
Travel to State-wide Events
Our students have the opportunity to travel to different events across NSW that support HPGE learning across all four domains.
Experienced Staff
Our teaching staff are professionally trained to identify and nurture talent in a classroom setting and connect students to learning opportunities.
