Keep Australia Beautiful (KAB) is thrilled to announce the smallest school to achieve Green Flag Accreditation through Eco-Schools Australia, Belltrees Public School, NSW. The Green Flag is an international accreditation that has recognised and rewarded young people’s outstanding environmental actions for over 25 years.

After emerging from one of the worst droughts on record, the Belltrees Public School in the Upper Hunter is shifting focus.

Climate change means tomorrow's farmers will need to cope with more severe droughts and floods, shrinking biodiversity and declining soil health.

With a now-lush school paddock as the classroom, students are being given the tools to forge a more sustainable farming future.
